It’s a horrible day.
The world mourns the loss of the 50 American people killed in a gay club massacre in Orlando- the worst mass shooting in American history.
Today, as the 2016 Tony Awards were scheduled to be held, host James Corden opened the awards with a dedication to the victims of the shooting that left 50 people dead and another 53 injured.

“On behalf of the whole theatre community and every person in this room, our hearts go out to all of those affected by this tragedy,” Corden said.
Corden, added that the “theatre is a place where every race, creed, sexuality and gender is equal, is embraced and is loved.”
While the cast of Hamilton – which opened the show with Corden – announced earlier in the day that they would not be using their prop guns during the ceremony, as a symbolic gesture in respect to the nature of the Orlando tragedy.

Organisation ‘Moms Demand Action’, a group that aims to reform gun laws in America, also gathered outside the Tony’s wearing orange ribbons in honor of the victims – with a rainbow ribbon attached.
