Zomby cancels on OutsideIn Festival

British electro enigma Zomby has had to cancel his headlining spot at OutsideIn Festival because he couldn't get a visa in time.

This morning, Zomby sent out a few tweets responding to a press release from festival presenters Astral People claiming his cancellation was due to "unforeseen circumstances." "How come any other dj can miss a show and no ones gives a shit but if I can't get a visa in time it's world war 3," he wondered. "I've never been to Australia I was quite looking forward to it tbh." Without exactly apologising, Zomby at least seemed contrite that he couldn't get his visa together in time, but promised he'll be here next year to play a live show on top of DJing. "that's better isn't it thank me later," he concluded.

As a result, the second night of OutsideIn has been replaced by two triple-headliner sideshows. Objekt, Laurel Halo, and Jam City will play at Civic Underground on September 21 while Freddie Gibbs, BadBadNotGood and Snakehips will all play at the Oxford Art Factory on September 22. And if you've already bought your OutsideIn ticket, you'll get discounted entry to both events.

The OutsideIn Festival takes place September 21 at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville, NSW. It's totally sold out, but details on the sideshows, taken from OutsideIn's Facebook page, are below.
