Renowned Australian DJ Ajax has died
If you routinely went out dancing to electro in Australia sometime between 2002 and yesterday, there’s an excellent chance your music was provided in present, or via mix tape by Adrian Thomas – better known as Ajax.
Tragically, the beloved Australian DJ, radio host, and lately record label owner, died yesterday evening in Melbourne. The SMH have reported
"DJ Ajax, is believed to have run onto a road in Melbourne's inner north and was struck by a truck in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Police said a pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a truck in Parkville on February 28.
"It's believed the man ran in front of the north-bound truck on College Crescent shortly before 1am. He died at the scene," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
His friends, collaborators and fans have been publically expressing their grief this morning, over social media.
R.I.P. Ajax, you'll be missed. Stay tuned for a classic track this morning, we'll be playing one from his early work. #ajax

RIP DJ Ajax. This is so sad. We experienced our musical coming of age at your club nights back in 2005-6. Electro forever.
