Burberry’s Christopher Bailey To Wed Actor Simon Woods
Burberry’s creative director and his partner, actor Simon Woods, will wed in a civil ceremony next month. Internet whisperings of the impending nuptials were sparked after the couple gave notice of their nuptials at a London registry office this week. And although we can only guess at who proposed to who or how the marriage was arranged, Woods has more than proved his mettle at delivering deeply affecting marriage proposals via that very memorable scene from 2005’s Pride and Prejudice in which he, as Mr Bingley, proposed to Rosamund Pike’s Jane Bennett (ironically, a former flame of Woods’). We can only hope to imagine how heartstring-snagging his delivery is in real life (and in a context where he actually means it). A hearty congratulations to Bailey and Woods!
