Can we take a moment to celebrate Kristen Stewart and St. Vincent?
News has emerged of a blossoming romance between indie-film queen Stewart and guitar-shredding extraordinaire St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark). And we say: yes please!
A source confirmed the news to Us Weekly , adding that ‘it’s been very romantic.’ The pair has been spotted in both New York and Los Angeles in recent weeks, doing what cool indie couples do, like dining at Japanese restaurants and attending comedy shows.

Clark had previously dated model/actor Cara Delevingne, and the two were even rumoured to be engaged.
The muso and Stewart have both produced incredible art in the past few years. Stewart has been showered with praise for her turns in Certain Women and Personal Shopper on the film festival circuit. While Clark’s most recent album St. Vincent, was labelled one of the best of 2014, winning a Grammy for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’.
The 26 year-old actor has said some pretty great and positive things about relationships and sexuality recently. In an interview with Elle, Stewart said:
“To hide this [her previous relationship to video producer Alicia Cargile] provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it, so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I’m so much happier,” she said.

In a time where the legitimacy of bisexuality is still questioned and marriage equality is still up for debate, this news comes across as a bright spot in a dark world. I mean, what could be better than two beautiful and talented artists – who aren’t afraid to say whatever the hell they want – supporting and inspiring one another?
Dating or not, these two remarkable women deserve all our heart-eye emojis.
